Who is responsible for your data

Martial Arts Store, trading as GLADTS, Zeekant 21 E, 2586 NB Den Haag, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce number 24359090) is responsible for the personal data processed through www.gladts.nl. Questions about your data: info@gladts.nl.

What data we use and why

  • Your order: name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number if you give it, the products you buy and the payment status. We use this to process, ship and support your order, including returns and complaints. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
  • Our records: we keep order and invoice data because Dutch tax law requires it. Legal basis: legal obligation.
  • Your questions: when you email us or use the contact form, we use your message and contact details to answer you. Legal basis: performance of the contract, or our legitimate interest in answering you.
  • Newsletter: only if you sign up. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. Legal basis: consent.
  • Cookies and advertising: see the cookie section below.
  • Security: our webshop platform uses technical data such as your IP address to keep the shop and checkout secure and to prevent fraud. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share data with

  • Shopify, the platform our webshop and checkout run on.
  • The payment provider you choose at checkout, to handle your payment. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • PostNL, to deliver your parcel (name, address and, if needed for delivery updates, your email address or phone number).
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), only if you accept marketing cookies, to measure and show our advertising.
  • Government authorities, such as the tax authorities, if the law requires it.

Some of these companies also process data outside the European Union, for example in Canada or the United States. In that case they use the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

We use functional cookies that the webshop needs to work, for example to remember your shopping cart. With your permission, given through our cookie banner, we also use analytics cookies to see how visitors use the website and marketing cookies, such as the Meta Pixel, to measure and personalise our advertising. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie banner or in your browser settings.

Reviews

On our website we show reviews that customers wrote on Bol.com and other platforms where we sell, with the name the reviewer used there.

How long we keep your data

  • Order and invoice data: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
  • Customer account: until you ask us to delete it.
  • Emails and messages: as long as needed to handle your question and any follow-up.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive your data in a portable format. Where we use your data based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Send your request to info@gladts.nl; we respond within one month, as the GDPR requires. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

We may update this privacy policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
